The Muses and the Wilderness: Spirit Mage

 Meet  Sybil, the high spirited magical girl.

She is a high spirited magical girl. She can talk to spirits or any force outside the physical world. Her powers comes from her "friends" as they lend her their energy.

I did several color studies.. It was a tough decision. My goal was to make her look magical.

The Muses and the Wilderness: Necromancer

Meet Li-li, the necromancer girl.

I conceptualized her from the idea of "lights out, life's in". Li-li is basically nocturnal. She's dull during the day but super energetic during night time.
 
Took me awhile to finish her because I could not get the design at first. Resting and taking a day off really helps to get my mood back. :)

For this character and my previous girl, Fang.. I started doing several rough sketches, then put on flat colors to test out what will work and finally, I rendered it with shading...
