Dream #02

I dreamed of going into this hole on the ground. I don't know what world it would lead me to, but I was sure that the cure for a family's illness can be found on that shack. I was looking down into that hole because I can feel my hair and eventually my body, was pulled into it. But to my dismay, I was staring straight into those plank steps. It seems that the place was distorted.

Meira

This is my first serious digital paintings after many years of not working in 2D (I studied 3D and had little time to visit Photoshop)

Some Orc

I entered a gaming company to work as a 3D artist. But without knowing it, I was slowly introduced again to digital illustration/painting. This Orc was another monster concept I made, one of the first digital paintings.

My painting are very far when compared to the works of my co-workers. Yet, this open doors for me and made me discover a potential in myself.

Minataur

This art is one of my early attempts for conceptual art. I am not a monster-type conceptual artist but, I tried my best with this one. Although the Minotaur did not make it to the game, this is surely one of my breakthrough as a digital 2D artist.

Portrait Studies

These are quick portrait studies done during spare hours at work.
Copied from a photo of an old woman I found.

A sketch of Hugo Cabaret

Copied from a photo of a woman in glamour lighting which I totally loved.

I forgot the name of the actress. I'll try to remember.

I tried to imitate an old photo of Abraham Lincoln. I was reading Abraham Lincoln , the vampire hunter  when I had made this.

This is the establishing scene clip  from the movie Si Enteng at Si Agimat (2010). I did this shot when I worked at a Post Production house in Makati, Philippines. This is the lair of the villain so I had to make it looked dark and grungy. From a concept art provided to me by the director, I modeled, textured, rendered and composited the ziggurat into a matte painted environment.

Student Demoreel 2010

This is the student demoreel I did  in 2010.
I looked into the sky one night and wandered how those strong little droplets of water can weather the steepest mountain but not my skin. Time, really, is a significant addition to the equation. 9/2/12
This is something I did immediately after I bought my computer last August 8, 2012.
Ola, everyone! Before, I don't know anything about blogs. But then, I became curious of it and thought of it as some place where I can distort time (I mean, be able to look back into memories through my old works and stuffs. That's how I do time travel.) Also, I promise that this would be an output-driven year for myself. I hope you enjoy my timeline of creative endeavor!
